Proton VPN now available on Apple TV. Watch all your favorites – in private
Have you ever read about a TV show or film you’d like to watch, only to find out it’s not available where you live? I’ve run into that situation a few times. For example, The Great Canadian Baking Show was a program I wanted to watch but couldn’t because, well, I don’t live in Canada.
With the help of a VPN and a web browser, I finally can view these Canadian culinary contests.

But what if you watch TV and films via Apple TV? What can you do then? Thanks to Proton AG, you now have an option. With its latest update, the Proton VPN service is now available for Apple TV, which means you can watch television from around the world, all from the comfort of your couch.
The VPN app doesn’t just enable you to view content from other countries, it also allows you to watch TV while abroad. It even ensures that your data and browsing activity are private, so you don’t have to worry about anyone — or any third-party service — tracking your viewing habits or your IP address.
The new Proton VPN app for Apple’s tvOS can be used by anyone with a paid Proton VPN plan and gives you access to over 8,500 servers across 112 countries.
David Peterson, Proton VPN general manager, called the new Proton VPN app for tvOS, “One of the most expected and requested features by our community, as well as our compatibility with Apple Vision Pro.”
“Users can now keep their streaming habits, online activity, and their IP address private from their Internet Service Providers or any other third parties,” Peterson noted.

The tvOS app was designed to make it easy to use on a television screen, where you’ll find larger icons and other interface changes that help make the Proton VPN Apple TV app convenient to see and interact with. The app was designed to be operated using only a TV remote control.
To get started, download the Proton VPN app from the Apple App Store, and sign in to your account. Once logged in, you’ll be able to connect to a server location in any of 112 countries and view content you might not have previously been able to enjoy.
