A Growing Challenge in Cloud Security
In today’s fast-paced digital world, enterprises face a new urgency in cloud security. AI-driven tools have drastically reduced the time it takes to develop exploit kits, from 15 days to under 5. However, enterprise teams often need over 60 days to patch vulnerabilities across varied environments. This leaves a significant gap where businesses are vulnerable to malicious actors.
Cisco and Wiz: Better Together
In response to this critical challenge, Cisco is excited to announce a strategic collaboration with Wiz, a leader in cloud security innovation. Wiz’s platform excels at identifying critical attack paths in cloud infrastructure and enabling development and security teams to rapidly fix them before they can be exploited. Cisco’s Hybrid Mesh Firewall provides a fabric of optimal enforcement points that makes it easy for organizations to reduce attack surface, prevent compromise, and stop lateral movement in the data center, campus and cloud environments. Together, Cisco and Wiz aim to improve cloud security for enterprises that are contending with an evolving threat landscape marked by complexity and the introduction of new AI technology.
“We are excited to strengthen our existing partnership with Cisco,” said Oron Noah, VP Product Extensibility and Partnerships at Wiz. “By correlating Cisco’s renowned network security capabilities with Wiz’s cutting-edge Security Graph engine – which provides straightforward, context-driven insights into critical exposure – enterprises gain deeper visibility and better risk prioritization. Together, we are continuing to democratize security for the cloud era.”
Cisco’s Commitment to Cloud Security
Cisco has heavily invested in cloud security for protecting applications, including AI applications running in the cloud through its Isovalent and Hypershield products, as well as the introduction of AI Defense. These products bolster customers’ ability to protect cloud applications in real-time and guard AI systems against emerging threats. The collaboration will enable Wiz to contribute code-to-cloud insights into potential threats, while Cisco’s Hybrid Mesh Firewall provides fine-grained, real-time enforcement. Together, they aim to create a robust defense-in-depth security ecosystem that swiftly identifies and mitigates risks in cloud applications.
A Unified Vision for Secure Cloud Environments
Cisco and Wiz share a vision of enhancing cloud security with AI and for AI. By leveraging each company’s strengths — Cisco’s deep understanding of network security and Wiz’s innovative code-to-cloud Security Graph — the collaboration aims to make it even easier for enterprises to see, and protect, what’s important.
This collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to leading the way in cloud security, ensuring enterprises are well-equipped to handle the evolving challenges of the digital age.
