Cisco Applauds Senate Passage of the Strengthening American Cybersecurity Act of 2022 – Cisco Blogs
Statement of Eric Wenger (Senior Director, Technology Policy, Global Government Affairs) on the Strengthening American Cybersecurity Act of 2022:
Cisco congratulates Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Gary Peters (D-MI) and Ranking Member Rob Portman (R-OH) on their bipartisan efforts to successfully pass the Strengthening American Cybersecurity Act of 2022 through the Senate. Effective cyber incident information sharing, a coordinated aim to combat ransomware, and an updated Federal Information Security Modernization Act are all issues that deserve the attention of Congress. As the two chambers evaluate the next steps, we continue to emphasize the importance of ensuring that the government shares actionable cyber threat information with the private sector as quickly, and at the lowest level of classification, as possible.
