Cisco Enhancing Profitability and Protection for Partner-Led Managed Services
As our own Oliver Tuszik and Alexandra Zagury recently discussed with CRN, there has never been a better time to be a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and participating as a Provider in the Cisco Partner Program. Cisco is investing millions of dollars, evolving sales motions and adding global resources to ensure managed services become the primary route to market for enterprises and small businesses alike.
That means there’s huge opportunity for you to get your fair share of the massive $113 billion managed services total addressable market. And we are here to help! We are making updates to the Provider role that will enhance your profitability, protect your managed services deals and simplify requirements.
Let’s review what’s happening.
Protect, stack and profit
We understand the resources it takes to engage your customers throughout the lifecycle, so it is important that you protect your investment and garner as much profitability from each deal as possible. To that end, when you register managed services deals you can now stack Provider Pricing discounts and Advantaged Pricing incentives.
Don’t forget as a Provider, you can also earn additional incentives Provider Market Development Fund to help you accelerate your Cisco powered managed service business, that is above and beyond our classic incentives portfolio including VIP annuity, Provider Gold bonus, VIP bonus for each of the Cisco Powered Service, CSPP, Perform Plus, and Lifecycle Incentive that supports your Cisco business profitability.
Tag more, earn more
But wait … there’s more! To help us both identify and size the managed services business, you can earn bonus in the Provider MDF when you identify your managed service order in our CCW system via “Intended Use – Managed Service” tag. Optimizing your MDF to accelerate demand is easy with business development, sales acceleration and marketing resources including: funded heads, sales incentives, advertising, collateral, events and market research – to name just a few.
More time, less worry
You asked for more time to submit your claims and we heard you! You now you have 30 days after you complete your approved activity to submit your claims, proof of performance (PoP), and proof of cost (PoC). Check out the ebook for the full details.
Simplifying requirements
With the global reach of our providers, it can be difficult to meet the eligibility requirements at all locations. For FY23, existing Gold and Premier Providers will now only need to meet their eligibility requirements at their headquarters location. Further, to give Gold providers even more options to meet the eligibility requirements, we have built new strategic Cisco Powered Services offerings including Future of Work, End to End Security and Secure Agile Networks. For full details, check out the new strategic Cisco Powered Services Portfolio ebook.
And finally, existing Providers have until your audit anniversary in FY23 to meet all the requirements – not day one of our fiscal year.
And partners who joined the Cisco Partner Program as a Provider this year, have until the end of Cisco’s fiscal year (July 31, 2022) to meet their eligibility requirements — or by your audit anniversary.
As you can see, we are doubling down on our investment in Providers to build in more profitability and protection with less friction. Our goal is to optimize a partner-led sales motion that drives the outcomes your customers are mandating.
