VMware Cloud Universal Phase 8 Momentum Update

Multi-cloud continues to underpin digital transformations both as a driver and inhibitor. Organizations struggling with Cloud Chaos face operational difficulties as siloed teams work to wrangle an ever-increasing volume of applications across numerous clouds. Those companies that can best manage, secure, and deploy across a multi-cloud environment feel the positive effects far beyond their IT departments as their operational challenges lessen, costs come down, and IT and Developer teams can better collaborate to drive innovation and business outcomes.

Looking Back: VMware Cloud UniversalTM (VMCU), a flexible, credit-based subscription program, has been redesigned to accelerate customers’ public cloud objectives within their multi-cloud strategies. Eligible solutions within the program include public cloud infrastructure, flexible cloud storage, security, and disaster recovery to grant customers optionality as they approach the many stages of a cloud transformation journey. Learn more through the VMCU Learning Hub, Solution Brief, and the Program Guide.

Looking Ahead: After its announcement at VMware Explore 2022, VMCU will expand to include Azure VMware Solution. Azure VMware Solution is expected to be available in the summer of 2023.
