VMware presents the evolution of VMware Cloud, available as a consistent multi-cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) deployable on-premises, in public clouds, and through VMware partners.

• Customer Managed: Customers may deploy their VMware Cloud editions in their own data centers – utilizing VxRail or vSAN ReadyNodes – or their choice of colocation partners with full control of the infrastructure environment.
• VMware Managed: Customers who desire a business-ready plug-and-play service may opt to deploy VMware Cloud on AWS, a VMware-managed cloud service with fully integrated hardware and software. Alternatively, VMware Cloud on Equinix Metal will offer a distributed cloud service, jointly managed by VMware and Equinix, enabling customers to separately purchase software and hardware as a service for maximum flexibility. 
• Provider Managed: New VMware Cross-Cloud managed services based on prescriptive VMware Cloud editions to lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for on-premises infrastructure.
