From 20 May to 20 June, eligible PCI SSC stakeholders are invited to review and provide feedback on the draft Mobile Payments on COTS (MPoC) v1.1 during a 30-day request for comments (RFC) period.
The RFC will be available through the PCI SSC portal, including instructions on how to access the documents and submit feedback. Eligible stakeholders will also receive instructions via email. As a reminder, participants are required to accept a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to download the document. Please review the RFC Process Guide for more information.
Please note that PCI SSC can only accept comments submitted via the PCI SSC portal and received within the defined RFC period.
Background on the Mobile Payments on COTS (MPoC) v1.1
The Mobile Payments on COTS (MPoC) standard has been developed to address the security requirements of the mobile payment market. Version 1.0 of the standard was officially released in November 2022, and the Program Guide document was released in December 2022.
For v1.1, the MPoC standard has been updated to address stakeholder feedback and improve flexibility and utility. PCI SSC is seeking further formal feedback on these changes through the RFC process, so that other items of feedback can be collected and considered prior to finalization and release.
