Answering the Need for Cloud Calling and Collaboration with Cisco Webex and NTT
Co-authored by Chris Panzeca, Senior Director of Global Strategic Partner Sales at Cisco
Over the past few years, we have seen a massive transition to hybrid work with organizations adapting to new ways of working. This move to hybrid work has accelerated digital transformation initiatives and a shift to cloud technology to support hybrid work models, while containing costs. As the cloud and hybrid workplace evolve, Cisco continues to innovate and work with our partners, like NTT Ltd, to help customers navigate an effective strategy for their hybrid work and cloud journeys.
Together with NTT, we are empowering customers to simplify their cloud environments for enhanced hybrid work and productivity through the Cisco Webex cloud platform, which helps teams securely communicate, ideate, and iterate from anywhere, anytime. It unlocks the promise of hybrid work with a collaboration suite and telephony solution that is flexible, inclusive, supportive, secure, and managed.
We are thrilled to expand our 30+ year strategic partnership with NTT to transition customers to the Cisco Webex cloud calling and collaboration platform. As part of this, we expect up to two million users from our joint customers to migrate from legacy platforms to new cloud models over the next 36 months. Leveraging NTT managed services and Cisco’s Cloud Migration team, customers migrating to calling, meetings and communications capabilities on the Cisco Webex cloud platform can look forward to reliable performance with 99.99% uptime.
Lowering total cost of ownership with cloud calling
Migrating from legacy and on-premises to cloud-based calling and collaboration capabilities allows customers to enjoy the benefits of telephony in their collaboration solutions, eliminating numerous and unpredictable costs associated with PBX solutions. According to NTT research, customers who make the move to cloud voice typically achieve 40-60% savings on average. These savings are a result of comprehensive calling plans and a significant reduction of the total cost of ownership and capital expenditure associated with on-premises hardware.
Advance your journey to the cloud
Now more than ever, customers need an effective strategic partnership for their cloud migrations and hybrid work initiatives.
A long-standing Cisco Global Gold partner, NTT helps customers across the world develop complete Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center solutions with cloud voice capabilities. Its managed employee experience and managed customer experience provides services tailored to customers’ business needs, so they can focus on strategic business priorities.
