Are you prepared for what’s next?
In a cloud-first world, networks are gearing up. IT professionals share how.
After facing a global pandemic, a broken supply chain, geopolitical conflict, economic uncertainty, and an increasingly multicloud world, what is the path forward for organizations?
At the risk of stating the obvious, the last two and a half years have forced an enormous change on the world. To thrive and survive, organizations had to change the old ways of conducting business in innovate new ways. And, as they did, cloud adoption accelerated, and the role of the network changed. But what does the path forward look like? How best can you adapt to the changes?
Earlier this year, Cisco sought answers to these important questions in our annual Global Networking Trends Report. We conducted a survey of more than 2500 IT professionals across the globe. To ensure we focused on the future of the network in the multicloud world, we targeted early adopters and thought leaders in the cloud operations, development operations and network operations. We compiled a list of qualitative and quantitative responses, compared them with previous reports, and analyzed the results to identify how companies were adapting their technology and operations to accommodate to change.
The trends we found have important implications on the networking decisions you’ll make and the way you’ll work in the future. We uncovered five key trends in business, technology, operations, deployment, and collaboration that will impact the network in the multicloud world.
While the trends identified in the report are important in themselves, the real value is in how they can inform your decisions moving forward. With each trend, Cisco vice president Fabio Gori has provided pragmatic guidance on how best to address the implications of the trend.
