Cisco Cable and Mobility at SCTE Expo – Cisco Blogs
SCTE Cable-Tec Expo starts this week and runs from October 11-14. I do not know about you, but I was optimistic that we finally get together in person this fall for SCTE Expo, especially since this year it is in my hometown of Atlanta. Unfortunately, we will have to live with another virtual experience, but that does not mean Cisco does not have some great content to share with the industry.
I am excited to share a newly recorded demonstration that my team worked on in conjunction with AWS. The introduction of Cloud technology offers many potential architectural advantages, and Cisco is thrilled to show what is possible by partnering with AWS. This proof-of-concept demo shows how elements of the control plane can reside in the Cloud and manage the CCAP core, while the CCAP core resides local (on-premises) in the Head End. See the demo on our microsite here.
Cisco has a selection of pre-recorded speaking sessions worth checking out, highlighted by our own John Chapman, Cisco Fellow. In this session entitled Strategy for Cable 2021: A CTO’s View, John shares an in-depth look at Cable industry Technologies. He explores the history of CMTS, discusses the future of DOCSIS, and also looks at DAA and Convergence. This session airs on Tuesday, October 12 at 4:00.
In our Virtual Booth, we also have 5 topical videos, 6 downloadable white papers, and click-to-chat with the experts. Enjoy this year’s version of Expo. I hope to “see” you there!
