Delivering Superior Calling Experience to Over 40M Users via Webex for BroadWorks
Hybrid works continues to be top of mind for many and organizations are working through how to provide a great experience for employees and customers. Calling continues to play an important role in delivering a modern collaboration experience from anywhere.
In order to support the new workforce and keep employees productive and engaged, organizations are shifting existing on-premises systems to VoIP and Cloud, and taking advantage of the “as a service” subscription model to always have access to the latest and greatest innovations.
We continue to support our customers and partners through this change. Today the Webex for BroadWorks platform supports 40+M users through hundreds of Service Providers globally. We continue to invest in our offers for Service Providers and are committed to maintaining and enhancing the BroadWorks platform, improving the core hosted PBX and Trunking capabilities, making updates to stay compliant with regulatory requirements, and facilitating further integration with the Webex platform. Our Service Provider partners are counting on us to help their business serve their current customer base and grow by capitalizing on the Hybrid work movement.
Service Providers can offer calling through their BroadWorks platform, either as a standalone offering or fully integrated into Webex. The Webex for BroadWorks offer provides a best in class, all-in-one calling, messaging, and meetings collaboration experience to over 1.5M users today and is one of Cisco’s fastest growing offers.
Devices have always been an important part of telephony, and while many of us working in technology have become comfortable without a desk phone, we know that isn’t necessarily the case for our end-customers. Cisco is working to provide a tighter integration between MPP phones and RoomOS devices with the BroadWorks platform through features such as unified call history and directory search service to enhance the customer experience.
Cisco is also continuing to support the use of third-party devices by our Service Provider partners. Working with our solution testing partner tekVision, we have revived the Broadworks Interop Validations Testing (IVT) program to ensure continuous support for 3rd party devices (phones, SBCs, etc.) on the latest BroadWorks releases.
Cisco recognizes that as the market evolves our Service Provider partners’ businesses evolve as well. The WebexWholesale Route-to-Market offer is now available for Service Provider partners who have decided they no longer want to maintain their own telephony network and transition to selling a fully hosted solution by Cisco. Regardless of how our Service Provider partners go to market, Cisco is invested in helping them grow their business to meet the needs of their customers.
