Future Cloud – If your future is in the Cloud, how do you get there? – Cisco Blogs
Charting a Course
It’s no exaggeration to say 2020 brought unprecedented change to the business world. Many of these changes could not have been anticipated. Other trends, such as remote collaboration, were changes that were already evident but accelerated in adoption. That’s the case with the shift to the cloud.
Previously, while many organizations had embraced the cloud, others were more cautious in their approach. This wait-and-see attitude was no longer possible in the environment of 2020. The cloud became an essential platform for success as businesses needed the agility to quickly develop applications and scale capacity.
But the very things that make the cloud an important tool in times of uncertainty—flexibility, scalability, physical distribution—also increase strategic and operational complexity. The unknown variables at the core of complexity make it exceptionally difficult to chart a course forward.
Days Gone By
The old days of applications evolving in a linear fashion has given way to a present that includes agile composite applications developed and delivered via cloud-based application service mesh. The sheer number of choices and the resulting considerations make it exceptionally difficult to divine the right path forward.
That’s where Cisco can help.
Cisco has been quietly leading the future of cloud with innovation that impacts the user experience, ease of connectivity, operational simplicity and security. We provide full stack observability that extends from applications to infrastructure and cloud-neutral automation from campus to cloud that extracts complexity and powers connectivity, operations and security.
Future Cloud
On June 2, we will host Future Cloud. This virtual broadcast event will provide real-world insights from some of the leading thinkers in cloud—experts such as industry analysts, cloud providers, cloud operations experts, cloud implementers and customers. During this event, I’ll interview experts to get their informed insights about where the cloud is going and, most importantly, what you need to know to be prepared for that future.
Cisco executives Chuck Robbins, Liz Centoni, Todd Nightingale, and Kaustubh Das will also join the event to highlight our continuing commitment to cloud innovations. And will showcase and demonstrate new Cisco solutions that positively impact the way you really use the cloud to ensure exceptional application experience, multicloud connectivity, simplified operations, end-to-end security and support for the future of work.
Please plan to join me for this informative event.
