Learn What’s New in the Latest Release of VMware Cloud Universal – VMware Cloud Community

In March of 2021, we announced the launch of VMware Cloud Universal, a flexible subscription that simplifies the purchase and consumption of VMware multi-cloud infrastructure and management services. This new flexible subscription offering allows our customers to architect a multi-cloud strategy that balances business drivers, technology requirements and provides the ideal combination of services for their organization.

Our June 2021 release builds on the existing capabilities of VMware Cloud Universal by delivering enhanced features and choices to help our customers successfully execute on their multi-cloud strategy. This blog will explore what’s new in this release of VMware Cloud Universal and how customers will benefit from these additions.

Introducing vRealize Cloud Universal Enterprise Plus

Available within the VMware Cloud Universal program.

This new addition of vRealize Cloud Universal, vRealize Cloud Universal Enterprise Plus, includes vRealize Network Insight Cloud, which provides VMware Cloud Universal customers with end-to-end network visibility and analytics across their VMware and 3rd party network infrastructure.

Benefits of vRealize Cloud Universal Enterprise Plus:

• Accelerate application security and networking across private, public and hybrid clouds.
• Plan application discovery using machine learning, security and migration (for SDDC, VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure, AWS, Azure VMware Solution, and Google Cloud VMware Engine)
• Optimize and troubleshoot virtual and physical networks with full visibility
• Proactively manage your network with business intent using vRealize Network Insight Assurance and Verification
• Monitor and scale NSX-T deployments

Customers can now redeem their VMware Cloud Universal SPP credits for vRealize Cloud Universal Enterprise Plus within the VMware Cloud Console. With vRealize Cloud Universal Enterprise Plus, customers will be able to manage their on-premises, VMware Cloud on AWS, and VMware Cloud on Dell EMC environments, as well as plan their migration to VMware Cloud.

Convertibility

Available with VMware Cloud Foundation-Subscription

With this latest release comes the General Availability of the Convertibility feature of eligible VMware Cloud Universal offerings. This benefit provides VMware Cloud Universal customers to make “subscription to subscription” conversions by allowing customers to end their VMware Cloud Foundation-Subscriptions early and applying the unused remaining value towards the purchase price of new subscriptions.

For customers who wish to deploy on-premises with VMware Cloud Foundation-Subscription, the Convertibility benefit provides investment protection should their deployment plans change. With VMware Cloud Foundation-Subscription, available within the VMware Cloud Universal program, customers who select the Convertibility option can to apply any unused remaining value to a new subscription of VMware Cloud on AWS, or VMware Cloud on Dell EMC.

New Offerings from Success 360

VMware is dedicated to helping our customers get the most out of their technology investments, which is why we have included VMware Success 360 as a part of VMware Cloud Universal. Earlier this month we announced the addition of two new versions as well as Digital Learning.

VMware Success 360 for U.S. Federal Agencies and Telecom Customers

VMware Success 360 for U.S. Federal Agencies is designed for customers who want to experience all the benefits of the standard offer but require delivery to be executed by United States citizens located on U.S. soil.

VMware Success 360 for Telecom is tailored to meet the unique needs of these customers. It includes everything in the standard offering in addition to guaranteed support response times and service restoration SLAs for VMware Telco Cloud products.
