Migrate to the Cloud with Cisco and Wipro
As companies migrate to the cloud, many realize they have gaps in the end-to-end expertise required to deliver the outcomes they need from their cloud-based deployments.
First, there’s the expertise needed to evaluate existing on-premises applications to decide not only which to migrate to the cloud, but also how to rearchitect them to optimally run in pure public cloud or hybrid cloud environments. Next, there’s technical execution of the cloud migration itself, including development resources to modernize legacy applications, along with expertise required to operate effectively on target cloud platforms. Once running in the cloud, workloads still must be managed so that they deliver the right user experience without overspending.
To help companies fill in these expertise gaps, Wipro offers its FullStride Cloud Services built on a portfolio of Cisco’s market-leading technologies. Wipro and Cisco have been working together for more than twenty-five years, helping our mutual customers transform their businesses across digital, cloud, and security to name a few areas. Wipro and Cisco co-develop communications, infrastructure, and security solutions that combine Cisco’s industry-leading network, compute, and security products with Wipro’s global system integration, IT consulting, and industry domain expertise. Today, Wipro even has a Cisco Business Unit that focuses on the development and adoption of digital transformation solutions leveraging Cisco technologies.
FullStride Cloud Services
Wipro FullStride Cloud Services provides end-to-end services that help customers migrate to the cloud. In fact, Wipro has a global presence in more than fifty countries and targets its cloud migration services at Fortune 2000 businesses.
Wipro FullStride Cloud Services combines industry-leading business solutions from Cisco and others with a high-touch, business outcome-based approach to help customers maximize the true transformational potential of migrating to the cloud. Wipro is also a recognized market leader in many relevant areas, including cloud platform integration to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud[1]; leadership in providing cloud services[2]; and leadership in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant Hybrid Infrastructure for Managed Service Providers[3].
Cloud migration built on Cisco technologies
Wipro FullStride Cloud Services utilizes several Cisco products to assist customers in migrating to hybrid and pure public cloud environments, including:
- Converged infrastructure with Cisco HyperFlex HX
- Data center switching and routing with Nexus and ACI
- Automation and orchestration with Cisco Intersight
- Cisco’s full security portfolio, including next-generation firewalls (NGFW), AMP Secure endpoint, Umbrella, and DNS-Layer Security (part of Cisco Umbrella)
- Full-stack observability (FSO) with Cisco AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and Intersight Workload Optimizer
For example, one large consumer electronics customer was struggling with silos created by different application performance monitoring (APM) software and wanted to standardize its APM architecture across lines of business. This customer turned to Wipro, who standardized the customer’s APM solution on Cisco AppDynamics.
Another customer also needed help with standardization—this time around security. For more than a decade, this company’s organizational structure had essentially allowed local groups to choose their own security technology decisions. As a result, the company deployed at least three different solutions, leaving it with a lack of uniformity in its security architecture in 42+ countries across the globe. The company turned to Wipro, which standardized security on Cisco’s security portfolio.
Of course, in addition to improving their security postures, many companies are figuring out their hybrid work strategies—including Wipro itself. (As Wipro went from 35,000 employees working remotely to 150,000 employees working in some form of hybrid work environment, Wipro turned to Cisco technology.)
