Missing MagSafe on your iPhone 16e? Here's how to easily add it: 2 ways

Apple’s follow-up to the budget iPhone SE — the iPhone 16e — is here. As the more affordable option in the lineup, the tech giant cut a few features to keep costs down and make the pricier models more appealing.
One of the notable omissions? MagSafe.

While the iPhone 16e supports older, low-speed Qi wireless charging (capped at 7.5W), it lacks the magnets that make MagSafe possible.
If you’re fine with traditional wireless charging without the convenience of magnetic alignment, you’re good to go. However, if MagSafe’s ease of use or compatibility with accessories like wallets appeals to you, there are ways to add the feature without modifying your new iPhone.

The easiest and most effective way to add MagSafe functionality is to get a case with built-in MagSafe magnets. Fortunately, there are plenty of high-quality options to choose from.
1. Use a MagSafe-compatible case
Spigen cases are known for their durability and style, and the Ultra Hybrid MagFit is no exception. This case offers military-grade protection with raised edges for additional screen and camera safety.

This case also features anti-yellowing technology to keep it looking fresh over time. The sleek design is unique, resembling an X-ray view of the iPhone’s internals.
ESR is another premium case manufacturer offering a MagSafe-compatible option for the iPhone 16e. The Cyber Series case has a three-layer design: a hard TPE and PC outer shell for impact resistance, and a soft inner layer to absorb shocks. The case provides drop protection from heights of up to 23 feet.

The MagSafe magnets are rated to hold up to 1,500 grams, ensuring your accessories stay securely attached.
2. Use a magnetic sticker
If you prefer a different case or don’t want to buy a new one, you can opt for a magnetic sticker. ESR offers an ultra-thin (just 0.4mm) magnetic ring that can be attached to the back of your existing case to add MagSafe functionality.
Remember that these stickers are only compatible with polycarbonate or TPU cases that don’t have a fingerprint-resistant coating.
