My favorite robot mower adds two more affordable 'mini' units for smaller yards
The Mammotion Luba 2 is my favorite robot mower, bar none. I’ve been running it weekly across my front and back yards, and it has succeeded in leaving my push mower out of the job. At CES 2025, Mammotion announced the launch of two “mini” robot mowers: the Luba mini and the Yuka mini.
The Luba mini is a smaller version of the Luba 2 series. It features the same AWD platform, although it’s built for smaller lawns. It weighs 33 lbs and has an optimized 88-watt motor for more efficiency.

The full-sized Luba 2 weighs just over 40 lbs and features a 165-watt motor for tough terrain. It also has a 15.7-inch cutting width. The Luba mini, in contrast, has an 8-inch cutting width and is built for up to a third of an acre. Though smaller and lighter, the Luba mini also features the Luba 2’s all-terrain capability.
Mammotion also has a Yuka series robot mower, which combines sweeping and mowing for yards from 0.25 to 0.75 acres and weighs up to 34 lbs. The company just announced a Yuka mini, which weighs only 22 lbs and is built for small yards of up to 0.25 acres. Mammotion says the Yuka mini is perfect for first-time users or families with smaller yards.
At CES 2025, the company also announced a new UltraSense AI Vision system that uses artificial intelligence to create precise maps and navigate changing landscapes. The UltraSense AI Vision mows continuously more than 980 feet from its charging dock, even with weak or no GPS.

This AI-powered technology gives the robot advanced visual positioning to cut edges within two inches of walls or fences precisely and enables the robot to recognize and avoid more than 100 types of obstacles in real-time, according to the company.
The new Mammotion Luba and Yuka mini are now available for pre-order at Mammotion’s website.
