A newly discovered malware campaign has leveraged malicious npm packages to deliver highly sophisticated reverse shells. Researchers at ReversingLabs identified two malicious packages, “ethers-provider2” and “ethers-providerz,” which infiltrated development environments by covertly modifying legitimate npm dependencies.
