Partners are excited about AppDynamics Cloud Business Transaction Insights on AWS
While attending AWS re:Invent in-person, I kept hearing from customers and global AppDynamics partners and AWS how excited they are about the new business transaction insights feature being added to AppDynamics Cloud – available shortly on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Why all the excitement? Cisco, AWS, and our partners are operating together as One Team, focused on helping accelerate our customers’ successful journey to the cloud. Our customers are looking to us to help them operationalize their digital transformation priorities while maximizing the value they realize migrating to the cloud. Meanwhile, our AppDynamics partners kept telling me how strategic it is for them to partner with both Cisco and AWS to help them better meet their customer needs and expand into new use cases while also growing their existing cloud practices.
AppDynamics Cloud
Built to enhance observability of cloud native applications, AppDynamics Cloud uses AI and machine learning to correlate data from across different domains to help organizations better understand application performance and infrastructure dependencies to quickly identify problems. AppDynamics Cloud also provides analytics to help recognize why things are not working optimally and to predict when and where problems will occur.
Business transaction insights as part of AppDynamics Cloud
The new AppDynamics Cloud business transaction insights capability greatly enhances the observability of distributed and dynamic cloud native applications with business context across customers’ AWS and hybrid cloud environments. It combines business transaction monitoring with AIOps-derived insights drawn from OpenTelemetry™ data.
Put simply, the business transaction insights solution makes it easier to observe cloud native applications the way end users experience them, gather real-time insights into what’s happening inside their cloud-native application stack, and quickly take action to remediate issues impacting user experiences.
What does business transaction insights mean for AppDynamics Partners?
AppDynamics Partners with AWS cloud practices understand that success is built upon delivering the outcomes and experiences their customers expect for their applications running in AWS. This is especially true as migrating to the cloud and digital transformation are top-of-mind, high-priority initiatives for our mutual customers.
Business transaction insights as part of AppDynamics Cloud enable partners to connect the observability of customer business outcome success with deployed modernized cloud-native applications. This capability helps partners more quickly identify, prioritize, and resolve the most critical issues impacting the availability and performance of their customers’ cloud native applications, reduce MTTR, improve customer satisfaction, and deliver the user experiences their customers demand.
Business transaction insights also improves our partners’ role as consultative and strategic trusted advisors, informing customers on how cloud infrastructure and other entities that touch the application impact the application user experience and correlate these experiences with business context and objectives. With this knowledge, partners elevate their discussions with their customers around how the quality of user experience impacts business objective goals, enhancing relevancy and value proposition with their customers.
This new feature also helps increase productivity by providing partner teams a singular tool to observe applications the way end users experience them, take action to remediate potential problems, and optimize application performance. Gone are the days of manually analyzing relationships and dependencies across a fragmented set of siloed observability tools, especially when running in hybrid cloud environments.
Ultimately, AppDynamics business transaction insights help further differentiate AppDynamics partner cloud and full-stack observability practices by adding observability capability over cloud-native applications correlated to business context. The result for AppDynamics partners is better serving existing customers and providing a more highly differentiated offering to attract new ones.
