Roborock's new AI-powered vacuums with market-leading suction are on sale now

Roborock

Roborock made waves at CES in Las Vegas in January by debuting the world’s first mass-produced robot vacuum with a robotic arm. Now they’re releasing the flagship models of their new Saros series, named after the cycle used to forecast eclipses.

The Roborock Saros 10 and Saros 10R, both a super-slim 7.98 centimeters, feature a main brush and a flexible side brush to sweep away the hair on your floors, and Roborock’s AdaptiLift Chassis, which raises the devices’ wheels and frame by 10 millimeters to navigate over doorways and shaggy carpets. They can be fully charged in only two and a half hours. This all means that your cleaning routine won’t be interrupted because your vacuum runs out of juice or gets stuck.

But what makes these robots special is their intelligence. They collect data to create 3D models of your space so they can respond to real-time challenges when you’re not home. Efficient and thorough, the Saros series blends intuitive function with continual optimization through self-learning.

With its suction power of 22,000Ps, the Roborock Saros 10 is ideal for big homes that need to be deep-cleaned. The Saros 10 improves on Roborock’s popular S8 MaxV Ultra by using the RetractSense Navigation System. That means the knob at the top of the vacuum — which is the Laser Distance Sensor (LSD) — retracts so your machine can slide under even the lowest furniture. The Wide-Angle Vision Module maintains a 100-degree view and automatically rises when exiting low-clearance spaces. (This lack of a lag is especially important when gathering data to map your rooms).

That’s not all. Reactive AI 3.0 utilizes triple-structured lights, an RGB camera, and Vertibeam light to minimize blind spots. Meanwhile, the VirbraRise 4.0 mopping system makes 4,000 swipes per minute for your deep-scrubbing needs. When it’s done, the vacuum detaches the mop so your carpets don’t get soaked.

Saros 10R: An intelligent cleaner that maps the terrain and won’t get stuck

The Saros 10R was made for the complex, ever-changing terrain of a modern home. If you have a complex floor plan or a toddler that uses the living room as one big toy chest, this is the vacuum for you. The Saros10R uses the next-gen powered StarSight Autonomous System. The system uses dual-light 3D Time of Flight tech and an RGB camera to collect data at the high sampling rate of 21 times that of the traditional LDS system, and scans the environment 38,400 times per second. If that sounds like a lot of scanning, that’s because it is: The Saros10R paints a rich data-based portrait of your room. It can see obstacles.

The VertiBeam Lateral Obstacle Avoidance is another smart feature: a wide vertical laser, positioned on top of a forward-pointing laser, measures the vacuum’s distance from objects to its side, which means it won’t get stuck in the thicket of cables hanging from your work-from-home setup.
