SEC annual scholarship program supports next-generation leaders

The Security Executive Council (SEC) has announced its annual scholarship program is open for applications. This is the fourth year this scholarship, the SEC Next Generation Security Leader Scholarship, will be running. Three scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded to qualifying students. 

The scholarship was established to encourage and aid the next generation of security leaders at partnering academic institutions, all of which are recognized for excellence in security, risk, and intelligence programs. The programs include: 

  • University of South Carolina Darla Moore College of Business: Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance
  • Mercyhurst University: Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Bachelor of Arts in Intelligence Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Business & Competitive Intelligence, or Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security
  • Kennesaw State University Coles College of Business: Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Information Security and Assurance, or Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity

Qualifying students will be enrolled in one of these programs for the 2025-2026 academic year and will display strong security leadership potential. Scholarships will be awarded by the SEC Scholarship Committee in accordance with criteria from the universities and SEC input.
