Security industry mourns the loss of John L. Sullivan

John (Jack) L. Sullivan, Chief Security and Resiliency Officer, Vice President at Boston Scientific, passed away on February 16, 2024 at the age of 58.
Throughout his career, Sullivan led corporate-level programs for business resiliency and global security and investigations while serving as a board member to various tech startups and venture capital firms. Sullivan provided instrumental expertise with his skills in crisis management and security and resiliency leadership. Those who worked with him say that he always sought to empower the teams he collaborated with and support mentees in their career development.
Sullivan was recognized as a five-time recipient of the CEO award as well as a recipient of the SuperNova award. He also was named one of Security magazine’s Most Influential People in Security in 2019.
Sullivan has been described as a man that loved to spend time with his family and dogs. He was known for his sense of dry humor, his enthusiasm for cars, and his passion for reading.
Sullivan is survived by his wife Laura Sullivan and his two daughters, Sophia and Addison Sullivan.
