Spotlight On: Concentrix, a New Principal Participating Organization

Welcome Concentrix, a new Principal Participating Organization (PPO) at the PCI Security Standards Council! In this special spotlight edition of our PCI Perspectives Blog, Concentrix’s Global Vice President, Rishi Rajpal, introduces us to his company and how they are helping to shape the future of payment security.

Why did your company decide to become a Principal Participating Organization?

Concentrix is a CX Solutions industry leader and serves a large number of clients who require PCI DSS Certification contractually. We decided to elevate our long-standing position as an Associate Participating Organization to a Principal Participating Organization to have a leadership stake in all strategic and technical changes to the PCI DSS Standard. We expect this membership will cement Concentrix’s leadership position as a service provider and will allow us to provide greater value to our clients.

Which benefits are you most looking forward to as a Principal Participating Organization?

As one of the largest Customer Experience companies in the Service Provider category, Concentrix looks forward to the following benefits:

  1. Ability to participate and provide our perspective during the Roadmap Roundtable Group (RRG) meetings.
  2. Ability to participate and provide our perspective during the Technology Guidance Group (TGG) meetings.
  3. Priority access to a seat on the Board of Advisors.
  4. Access to exclusive online resources, including newsletters and the Portal to further enhance our PCI security controls and employee awareness.
  5. Receive priority consideration as speakers at PCI SSC events.

Why is it important for companies to get more involved with the PCI Security Standards Council, especially at the Principal Participating Organization level?

It is important for organizations like Concentrix, who serve clients across industries, to participate in the decision-making process and help define the future of payment security standards. As a Principal Participating Organization, service organizations receive access to exclusive strategy sessions with the PCI SSC Executive Committee, Council staff, and stakeholders. This provides us with a leadership position to discuss the direction of the standards, drive technical discussions, and provide direct input on Council initiatives.

What are some payment security topics that you’re interested in collaborating on?

Payment security is an ongoing effort, and collaboration among organizations is essential to address these challenges effectively. Concentrix would thus like to focus on the following areas of collaboration:

  1. Participating in forums that define areas of collaboration and identify gaps between existing PCI DSS requirements and the controls at Third Party Service Providers.
  2. Strong identity governance and administration practices play a crucial role in reducing fraud. Concentrix would like to collaborate with other organizations to further enhance its existing IGA solutions and API security to protect payment card information.
  3. Data Security and Privacy Protection: Emerging technologies (such as GenAI, and Blockchain) necessitate the need for enhanced collaboration amongst organizations to share best practices and develop robust security practices.
