The Journey to Bring Diverse Talent to Cisco Partners
As Cisco works to builds a more inclusive future for all, we know that we can’t do it alone. Our Partners and Distributors are an integral part of that journey, and we’ve created multiple ways for you to build that bridge with us. From sustainability initiatives to certifications to social justice efforts, time and time again you have proven to be just as dedicated to powering a more inclusive future for all as we are.
While the above mentioned initiatives are important, perhaps one of the most important to our purpose is in addressing the tech skills gap and helping traditionally underrepresented communities find tech employment via the Cisco Talent Bridge Program.
Make a Connection
Partners and Distributors who participate in the Talent Bridge Program are connected to talent via the Talent Bridge Matching Engine. This unique, automated platform, matches candidate qualifications with the needs of employers, simplifying the hiring and job search—at no cost to you. We currently serve over 180 countries, in 17languages, and support our Channel Partners as well as a diverse group of candidates.
One of the ways we connect with talent is by participating in events, which also presents an opportunity for you—our Partners—to engage as well. Cisco Talent Bridge Program Partner participants are not only notified of all upcoming events, but also have access to all candidates in the pipeline.
In September, we’ll be participating in two events that we invite you to participate in as well:
Upcoming Events and Opportunities
Through these events our Partners can engage and learn more about the diverse talent we are bringing onto the platform.
- Black is Tech Conference: Entering its fourth year, the Black is Tech Conference aims to connect black and brown tech professionals, students, and entrepreneurs and provide access to resources and growth opportunities. This year’s conference is a hybrid event, with over 20,000 expected to attend digitally and 3,500 in-person in Atlanta, GA. Andrico Spates, Senior Manager, Global Partner Sales and Business Development, will be speaking and Cisco will be attending as a part of our African American Cisco Partner Community initiative. To gain visibility and match to the talent from this event, establish an account and post jobs on the Matching Engine. This event is geared towards partners hiring in the United States. You will also have the option to filter matching candidates by those who attended the event. In addition to the Matching Engine, join us at this free event, either virtually or in-person.
- Refugee Hiring Webinar: Join us on September 28, 2022 for this informative session. The goal is to assist our partners in navigating the refugee hiring process. We understand that hiring refugees can sometimes be a complicated process. Working with our NGO partners, our speakers will share information on obstacles to employment refugees often face as well as best practices for employers to support hiring refugees and in the workplace. We have a couple case studies to share on how Cisco supports hiring displaced individuals. Most importantly we will explore how we can work together to make an impact by hiring refugees.
In This Together
Looking forward, we hope you’ll stay on this journey with us as we continue to strengthen our existing relationships with Cisco Networking Academy alumni and military veterans. And we will initiate and expand upon our relationships with global refugees, disabled communities, LBGTQ+, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU – US based), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HIS – US based), and Tribal Communities. Interested partners can participate in future events and information sessions as we work to create a more inclusive future for all.
