ZDNET’s key takeaways
- The ReMarkable 2 is a great resource for creative professionals.
- A proprietary stylus and protective folio help you get the most out of the device.
- However, the tablet itself is missing some key features.
ReMarkable’s flagship product is a mainstay for creative professionals who prefer a pen-to-paper experience but who also need integration with digital documents. Bundled with the Marker Plus (the ReMarkable’s proprietary stylus) and the Folio case for $70 off right now at ReMarkable, Best Buy, and Amazon.

We’ve gone hands-on with the ReMarkable 2 and the ReMarkable Paper Pro, and praised both products for their dedication to providing a lag-free, premium pen and paper experience with loads of integrations for users to connect their projects to systems they’re already using.
The Type Folio bundle is the high-quality protective case that also features a keyboard, perfect for ReMarkable users who work with a lot of text and use the device for drafting notes, emails, and other documents. Besides the folio, the bundle contains the Remarkable 2 tablet itself and the Marker Plus, making the full package $559.
If you don’t need the keyboard and just want the classic Book Folio for your ReMarkable, that bundle runs $529 for the tablet, folio, and Marker Plus.
Whether you prefer the keyboard or not, the Folio case is a must-have for the tablet, which protects the display by making it a lot more portable. It’s already a slim and lightweight tablet, but with the Folio case, you can pack the device up into a backpack without having to worry about nicks or scratches.

Regarding its size, the ReMarkable 2 weighs 403.5g (about 0.88 pounds). The ReMarkable 2’s 8GB of internal storage is the same as in the first model, which should be more than enough for most users. It also features 1GB of RAM, and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core ARM processor. The E Ink screen is a second-generation CANVAS display, offering 10.3 diagonal inches of viewing space with a resolution of 1,872 by 1,404 pixels (226ppi).
As mentioned earlier, one of the best things about the ReMarkable 2 is the ability to organize your notes, doodles, drawings, and documents by connecting them with the cloud, opening up lots of options to share, email, and send what you work on so they don’t just exist in a vacuum. There are a few ways to do this, but one of the easiest is with a Chrome extension that makes sharing articles a snap.
