This HP laptop is $900 off ahead of Black Friday

Black Friday and Cyber Week are still over a week away, but that hasn’t stopped great deals from popping up online. One, in particular, immediately caught my eye when I saw it. Right now, on B&H Photo Video, the 16-inch HP Envy Multi-Touch Laptop has seen a huge price drop, from $2,000 to $1,100 for the holiday season. That’s nearly 50% off the original cost. For a computer of this caliber, this is a pretty good deal.

This machine is noteworthy because it’s a great all-rounder. Its hardware enables the device to handle all sorts of workloads, from simple internet browsing to content creation, and to function as an effective entertainment machine. You can play video games on it when you’re off work, for example. The HP Envy Multi-Touch is enticing enough, and this deal makes it all the more attractive.

Under the hood is a 13th-Gen Intel Core i9-13900H processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, and 32GB of RAM. Right off the bat, this is a solid configuration to have inside a laptop. It’s powerful enough to tackle video editing projects, run multiple apps simultaneously, help you complete graphic design work, and more without slowing down.

Above the keyboard is a 16-inch, 2,560 x 1,600 touchscreen (hence “Multi-Touch” in its name). Touchscreens aren’t vital on laptops like this, but they offer a nice alternative to touchpads. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures scrolling motions are smooth and responsive to the touch. Speaking from personal experience, I’ve found touchscreens help improve my productivity by giving me a deep level of control.

A computer with a setup like this can be rather power-hungry. HP claims its model can last almost 17 hours on a single charge. A quick 30-minute charge brings the battery back up to 50%. Of course, the battery longevity varies depending on the workloads it tackles. Other notable features on the HP Envy include a 5MP webcam, a four-speaker system, and a 1TB SSD.

It’s currently unknown if or when this deal will expire. If you go to the product listing, there is a small line beneath the price that reads “Holiday Savings.” This could mean the deal will end after Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or the holiday season. It is hard to say for sure at the moment.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, which in 2024, is November 29. It’s a big sales event where all sorts of tech gadgets, computers, cameras, and more are discounted across the internet. After the weekend passes, we go into Cyber Monday which is essentially the second round of Black Friday. Deep discounts crop up again.

The following days after Cyber Monday is known as Cyber Week. Similarly, many products on Amazon, Walmart, and other platforms go on sale for a third time as online retailers attempt to entice shoppers before the holiday season.
