The high volume of job applications makes it challenging for recruiters to find the talent they need and for people to get hired. LinkedIn is adding a new feature that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to make the recruitment process more seamless, helping both parties connect efficiently.

On Wednesday, LinkedIn announced Job Match, a feature that shows job seekers how their profiles, including their skills and experience, compare to an open position. This approach is meant to give job seekers a better idea of the roles worth applying to and that they could hear back from.

To power this experience, LinkedIn said it uses advanced in-house language models that can generate insights within seconds. These insights will appear across every job on LinkedIn and are, of course, personalized to every user.

Job Match is rolling out to all LinkedIn members. However, there are different levels of match. The advice is tiered according to your account, with Premium subscribers getting the most out of the experience.

This experience builds on several other AI features LinkedIn has rolled out to optimize hiring processes. For example, Premium subscribers can access conversational job searching, resume reviewing, cover letter generating, AI-powered coaching when watching a LinkedIn course, and more.

LinkedIn Premium is a hefty investment at $30 per month. If you are not ready to shell out the money, there are a couple of ways to use it for free, including a one-month trial. My best advice is to start the trial when you are at the peak of your job search.
