Where You Purchase Matters – Cisco Blogs
Co-authored with Al Palladin
Given the state of the global supply chain, where you choose to purchase matters more than ever. This is crucial for all industries from government to healthcare to financial services. We want to ensure government agencies, hospitals, or banks, as examples, have the peace of mind knowing they’re purchasing genuine Cisco products and services. We understand that your network is critical. We understand that you cannot compromise when it comes to quality, performance, support, or value, especially given the supply chain issues.
Why it matters
When buying mission critical networking products and services, it is imperative to qualify and authenticate the trustworthiness of your supply chain. Equipment purchased through authorized channels, whether it’s new or Cisco Certified Refurbished, entitles you to Cisco service support, upgrades, replacement guarantees, a valid software license, and a full warranty. Products sourced from outside Cisco’s authorized channels do not have a Cisco warranty, may not be automatically eligible for support, and may not have a valid software license. In addition, they may pass through many hands before they are delivered to you, making it possible that equipment and software have been altered to make them vulnerable to attack or premature failure.
Cisco Brand Protection
Cisco Brand Protection partners closely with both law enforcement and customs officials around the world to stop counterfeit products at borders, identify counterfeiting operations, and pursue legal actions against infringers of Cisco’s intellectual property rights. That includes trademarks. The goal is to actively support our partners and customers in protecting their investment in Cisco solutions.
Here are some quick and easy steps you can take right now to help keep your organization, agency, or business secure:
Commitment to our Partners
You can also check out a recent video by Oliver Tuszik, Cisco’s SVP of Global Partner Sales, where we reaffirm our commitment to removing counterfeit Cisco products from the marketplace by leveraging those partnerships with law enforcement world wide.
Our goal is simple: we want to ensure our customers across all our industries have peace of mind knowing they are buying genuine Cisco products with no compromise in quality, performance, support, or value.
