From Innovation to Action: Seizing the $43B Networking Refresh Opportunity with Cisco

My voice might be a little hoarse, but my cup is full after an incredible week at Cisco Live! This year felt particularly special, like a triumphant return to our roots. For those of us who remember the “Networkers” days in the early 2000s, the excitement around networking this year was a true full-circle moment. It was an event packed with groundbreaking Networking announcements, innovation, and personal connections.

My personal highlight? AI Canvas – a Generative UI for cross-domain IT. This tool is set to transform how teams troubleshoot network issues by unifying real-time telemetry, AI insights, and collaboration into a single workspace. Ultimately, the entire AI-Ready Next Gen Networking launch firmly establishes Cisco as THE undeniable leader in networking innovation. We’re not just building networks; we’re building networking for AI and with AI. And to our incredible Cisco partners – you are the ones who make this a reality for our customers.

We’ve shared a lot of information since last week’s announcement – including posts from Rodney Clark, Brink Sanders, and Anurag Dhingra – about this once-in-a-decade product launch, which is compounded by a massive $43B Cisco refresh opportunity over the next five years. As you reflect on the week and absorb all the information, I want to focus on three key takeaways that will help us drive success together in the coming year and beyond:

  1. Capitalize on this milestone. The time for networking is now. This is a massive opportunity for you to capitalize on a generational transition for your customers. Remember: networking is the foundation for everything you sell. Win the network, and you gain a significant advantage with every other technology that touches it across your customer’s.
  2. Focus on enablement. In the coming days and weeks, you will have access to ongoing updates including region-specific webinars, roadshows, technical clinics, competitive enablement, and more to assist you in making the most of this multi-year journey with your customers and for your business. Make the most of the resources available so you and your teams are ready to hit the ground running.
  3. Build and execute a surgical plan. This launch provides a fantastic opportunity to get in front of current customers as well as those you haven’t seen in a while. And given the magnitude of this launch and the opportunity size, knowing where to begin is critical. Build your plan together with your Cisco Partner Account Executives and specialists. Lean on them for best practices and strategic guidance where needed. And don’t forget to leverage Cisco’s Partner Experience Platform (PXP) to build targeted refresh lists. If you need help with this, we can help support you by running a workshop with your team.

The announcements last week are just the starting point. Let’s continue to execute on Q4 while building your plan for the future with Cisco’s AI-Ready Secure Network Architecture. Our teams are here to help.
