“In order to approach your risk assessment, especially when you’ve got vast or disparate geographies – meaning you’ve got a location in Portland, Maine and location in Portland, Oregon – you have to be able to accurately convey the risk across both of those locations that have very different risk profiles just due to the nature of where they are located,” Landry says. “How do we approach the assessments across these multiple sites? The first thing you need to do as a security professional is understand the goals and the objectives of the business.”
